Making Eyes at the Void is a solo exhibition by Amelia Dowling. It explores concepts related to the unconscious mind, including cognitive distortions, attachment styles and shadow work. Drawing on these theories and experiences of conditioning and unlearning, the artist uses hand embroidery, text and colour as a playful and emboldening act towards emotional and psychological repair.
Neon Parlour, Melbourne, dates TBC.
